This came my way via a friend in New York. It’s the Howard Stern show interviewing people in Harlem as to who they were voting for and why. Here’s the thing, though: they asked them if they agreed with Obama’s policies, but actually listed McCain’s policies! They also were very confident in Obama’s pick of Sarah Palin as vice president. These are the types of people who decided this election! My lord, this country is so screwed.
I also love how none of them can give any concrete reason why they don’t like McCain. One woman went as far to label McCain uneducated. Take a look at the national security debate, lady, and tell me who had more facts to back them up.

Two points:
First of all, if you did this the “other” way around, i.e. question a bunch of McCain supporters, list Obama’s policies and tell them that McCain picked Joe Biden as his VP, then edited it so that you only got the amusing ones, you would get a similar result. I would categorize this as media bias. The fact of the matter is that there are lots of people who are very uninformed – on both sides.
Secondly, these aren’t the people who decided the election. New York is a fairly safe democratic state; those people could have voted for anyone and it would’ve made very little difference to the result.
